We've divided our travel modules into 4 regions:North India Tours: Rajasthan, the Taj Mahal and VaranasiMost travellers start their India holiday packages by flying into Delhi and begin their trip in Northern India. This region of India is crammed with cultural gems; the cities and desert towns of Rajasthan, sacred Varanasi on the banks of the Ganges, the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, the erotic sculptures of Khajuraho, and - last but certainly not least - the Taj Mahal. Our starter packs will whisk you away from the airport in Delhi and take you towards the city of Jaipur, a fantastic gateway to the rest of unforgettable Rajasthan. Delhi is also an excellent base for holidays to Nepal. You can combine your trip to India with a visit to Kathmandu, a rhino safari in Chitwan National Park, a flight to Mount Everest, or a trek in the Himalayas. South India Tours: Kerala, Goa and the Maldives The south of India is sultry and exotic and a must for any India holiday package. End your trip on a tropical note with a beach break in Goa, Kerala or even the Maldives. Stretch out in the sand with a fresh cocktail and a good book or laze on a traditional boat in the Keralan backwaters. If you're still hungry for culture, explore the mystic culture of the south with a stay in magical Hampi or take a tour of the incredible temples of Tamil Nadu. If you're feeling active, you can cycle through the spice plantations in Kerala or take some time out to learn meditation in the mountains. North-West India Tours: The Golden Temple, Little Tibet and Himalayas Heading north-west from Delhi, you'll see two new and totally different sides to India. Amritsar, close to the Pakistan border, is the centre of the Sikh religion and home to the magnificent Golden Palace. From here, you can continue on your India holiday package and climb up to Dharamsala in the foothills of the Himalayas. This is a peaceful land of devout monks, Tibetan monasteries, prayer flags and snow-capped mountains. If you're chasing thrills, you can take a heart-in-your-mouth road trip into the remote mountain wilderness of Ladakh. North-East India Tours: Tea Plantations and Mountain Monasteries In the tiny pocket of North Eastern India is a great part of the world to start, continue or end your India holiday package. There's a mountainous Shangri-La of streams, forests and emerald valleys in the multicultural region of Sikkim which is nestled between Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. Here, you'll find Bhutanese and Tibetan monasteries perched high upon hillsides, with tea plantations spread out before them and snowy peaks in the background. Make your way to Darjeeling for a spot of high tea, stay with local families as you hike in the Himalayas, and visit some of the most isolated and spectacular monasteries in the world. Short Nepal Tours: India and Nepal Combined Feeling adventurous? Why not go mountain mad and combine your India holiday package with some time in Nepal? With these trips you can travel from the lively and cultural city of Kathmandu to the Royal Chitwan National Park where you take an elephant-back safari to spot rhinos.
