India online Customer Feedback

Since the launch of India online, we have sent many customers to India who have come home full of stories and smiles. You'll find some of their comments below. We value customer feedback very highly at India online, as it is a vital means of making sure that our standards are maintained.

We've broken down the feedback into sections so that you can see comments specific to each separate module that we offer. We hope that this will inspire and help you with the planning of your own trip.

General Comments

• I have had many travel experiences with agencies over the last 30 years and few (even those claiming specialist status) have given such good advice and service. Peter A.

• I really want to say that the organisation of our holiday was superb, we felt as though we were being looked after every step of the way, but it was never intrusive and we felt we had some independence to do what we wanted. Jan E.

• This was one of the best holidays we have had in years. Every day was an adventure and a real eye opener. The logistics were all operated immaculately. The car was always there. Everything went like clockwork. We may have been on the move everyday but we enjoyed it all and really felt like we had been away when we came back. I would definitely consider going back to another area of India and I would come to you for the trip as a first choice. Jerry A.

Totally excellent, helpfulness of staff and a suitable itinerary at a fair price. Chris D.

• Mixture of pre-planned structure and independence/freedom. From the web contact at the beginning to the efficient services on the trip, we always received first class individual treatment, but had space to do our own thing. The hotels were mostly distinctive and comfortable, and even though we went to tourist hotspots we also spent some time away from too many Westerners. I would definitely use India online again for this type of holiday - it was brilliant and a lot better than we could have organised by ourselves. Thank you very much. John W.

Normally do it ourselves but was finding India in low season difficult to do - so enlisted India online to help! Good – easy to use, everything went to plan. Caroline McD.

Local Staff and Service in India

• Exceptional. Both north and south India were fantastic and equally well organised. The driver in the north was great - he really made the trip in the north a fantastic experience. His English was actually a lot better than some of the guides and he told us so much about Indian culture and places of interest during the journeys. We really hope this feedback is passed on! Catherine & Simon F.

• Absolutely superb. We had enough time to see all the sights, the guides were excellent (apart from taking you to shops to buy stuff!), the journeys in the car were not too long and arduous. We had a really good mix of sightseeing, adventure, people watching etc, and we don't think it could have been any better. Just great! Howell P.

• Excellent service. Needed to combine business with pleasure so needed flexibility. Richard J.

Friendly, helpful and efficient. We were never kept waiting and the connections were all handled seamlessly, very pleasing when you are travelling a lot and as a result tired. Being looked after all the way. Not have to think about how to get from A to B and where to be for trips. Without this there would have been more stress. . . . So much more to see and not enough time. Oh dear we will have to return! Mike H.

• All the paperwork was in order, no problems anywhere and the rep from Odyssey even got me a birthday cake and a red rose on my birthday and booked us into a lovely restaurant! Drivers were always very punctual, pleasant, safe drivers. They were courteous, eager to please and I never felt unsafe at all. It was really good to be dropped off and picked up and to have a car all to ourselves. I felt like royalty. Jan E.

India online Modules

Camels and Castles in Rajasthan

• Loved the variety - different places to see almost every day. Best destination probably Udaipur - nice to relax, lovely setting and hotel. John W.

Wonders of the World

• Driving down remote country roads and back streets of Agra allowed us to see the real India, which was fascinating. Taj Mahal was amazing. Jerry A.

Tigers & Turrets

• Ranthambore was a big highlight partly because we saw a tiger but all the wildlife was great. Jerry A.

Backwaters and Wildlife

• The houseboat (in a monsoon) and the standard of the accommodation was amazing....definitely returning! Catherine & Simon F.

The Sikh & the Monk

• Amritsar was excellent: less touristy, very friendly: Golden Temple spectacular. John W.

• The drive to Manali through the Kullu Valley was stunning. Our hotel in Manali was so warm and welcoming, really charming with a beautiful veranda overlooking a well-kept garden. Our next stop was Shimla. Our hotel has so much old world charm and was packed with beautiful old photos and artifacts. Shimla is a great place to explore on foot and one of India’s most fascinating hill stations. The other highlight has to be the toy train – great scenery and little station stops where you can stretch your legs, grab a chai and take some photos. Arida - India online Specialist.
